Hayden Wilde is an Olympic bronze medalist, Commonwealth silver medalist and 2022 Super League Triathlon series champion.

Already showcasing elite potential on the off-road triathlon scene as a teenager winning two XTERRA under-19 world titles and the U23 title at the ITU Cross Tri World Championships, Hayden moved into regular triathlon with a wildcard invitation to compete in the Super League Triathlon championship series in 2018-2019.

He then parlayed his success in SLT’s supersprint formats into breakout performances on the World Triathlon circuit. A third-place finish at the 2019 test event for the Tokyo Olympics sealed his selection for the Games. Despite lockdowns delaying the Olympics for a year, he still made good on his promise by clinching the bronze medal for New Zealand.

Never one to rest on his laurels, he followed that performance up with a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and set up a year-long rivalry with Alex Yee of Great Britain for the World Triathlon championship crown.
