Cassandre Beaugrand is an Olympic gold and bronze medalist, five-time world champion, and French national champion.
The way she races may look effortless, but behind that calm facade burns the heart of an absolute competitor who performs not just for herself, but also for her team.
Becoming Olympic champion at home on the streets of Paris was the apex so far of a career trajectory that saw her transition from a cross-country running background setting the French junior 10-kilometre record, becoming a formidable athlete across swim, bike, and run. She is the first French athlete to win Olympic gold in triathlon.
She also holds the distinction of having helped the French mixed relay team win four world titles, including their first one in 2018 and anchoring their 2022 win. After topping the Tokyo test event in 2019 and twice defending their world championship title, they (with Cassandre racing the penultimate leg) secured an Olympic bronze medal in triathlon – the first ever for the nation.
In 2023 she earned her first individual world title, battling through heats and a highly competitive final to win the World Triathlon Super Sprint Championship in Hamburg. She also rose to a career-high #2 in the world to become the WTCS Vice World Champion.
