Always in the mix and capable of beating world champions, the sky is the limit for Vasco.
In his first year on Bahrain Victorious he built on strong performances to announce himself as a major threat across various triathlon distances. He took the bronze at the 2025 World Triathlon Championship Series, returning to the world podium for the first time since his silver medal finish at the one-day World Championship in Hamburg in 2020. He also earned silver in the 2025 Supertri League standings, playing a key role in driving Crown Racing to the team’s overall runner-up finish. Ending the year on a high note, he claimed silver at the Ironman 70.3 Bahrain in his debut over the distance.
At the age of 15 he moved by himself to train with legendary Swedish coach Joachim Willem, making good on a childhood desire to climb up triathlon’s elite ranks. He would soon gain his chance to race among the world’s best at the 2019 supertri race in Malta, finishing eighth. Despite limited racing the following year he capitalised on his opportunities, taking silver at the first edition of the Arena Games as well as becoming World Triathlon Vice Champion with a gutsy performance alongside the defending champion Vincent Luis.
Vasco is a massive signing for the team and its future as we look towards Los Angeles 2028.
