The Bahrain Victorious 13 is proud to announce its roster of all-star athletes for 2025.

On a mission to secure its continued dominance in the sport, Bahrain Victorious 13 has retained world champions and Games medallists while recruiting the current Ironman 70.3 world champions and T100 Tour champions as well as young and promising talent to form its most accomplished line-up to date.

These 13 of the world’s very best endurance athletes hold a combined six Olympic medals, six Paralympic medals, and 15 world titles not just across all triathlon distances, but in multiple sports as well.

Reigning Olympic and world champion Cassandre Beaugrand (FRA) is the most prominent returning athlete. First named to the Bahrain Victorious 13 in 2021, she added the golden double to her trophy collection from her tenure on the team: bronze from Tokyo, a super sprint world title, and two mixed relay world titles.

Joining her is three-time Ironman 70.3 world champion, two-time Olympic silver medalist, and T100 Tour champion Taylor Knibb (USA), who is set to dominate Ironman and middle distance racing in the next few years.

Fellow 2024 Ironman 70.3 world champion Jelle Geens (BEL) and T100 Tour champion Marten Van Riel (BEL) beef up the roster for middle- and long-distance racing alongside European champion India Lee (GBR) and Polish Ironman 70.3 record holder Kacper Stepniak.

2023 world champion, 2024 vice world champion and Paris Olympic bronze medalist Leo Bergere (FRA) will sport the Victorious racing red as he begins to pursue an Ironman 70.3 world championship while balancing short-course racing in World Triathlon and supertri. With a bronze medal debut in Taupo last year, he looks to be a major threat.

Vasco Vilaça (POR) is one of the youngest new recruits, but is already a three-time vice world champion in the sprint, junior, and elite categories and placed fifth in his Olympic debut in Paris. Emma Lombardi (FRA) signs on with three world titles to her name in U23 and mixed relay racing and a fourth place in Paris. Beaugrand, Bergere, Vilaça, and Lombardi are also set to defend the supertri team title won by Bahrain Victorious 13-sponsored team Crown Racing.

Vincent Luis (FRA) and Lauren Parker (AUS) are now the most senior members of Bahrain Victorious. First signed onto the team in 2019, they have since experienced the vast majority of their career success, winning world championships and Olympic and Paralympic medals.

Three-time Ironman Asia Pacific champion Max Neumann (AUS) is also back on the team. Bahrain Victorious’ support throughout 2024 helped him make a full recovery when a lingering injury kept him from training and racing, and now he is raring to take on a full season sporting the team colors.

Finally, Kat Matthews (GBR) returns with the Ironman World Championship in her sights yet again. Having joined the roster in 2023 as an Ironman vice world champion, she is now a two-time Ironman and Ironman 70.3 vice world champion and last year won the inaugural Ironman Pro Series.

United under one Victorious banner to inspire the Kingdom of Bahrain and the world to embrace health, wellness, and the pursuit of excellence in endurance sports, the Bahrain Victorious 13 has surpassed the 10-year mark to become the longest-running and most successful endurance sports team ever.

Lauren Parker Leads Bahrain Victorious 13’s Medal Haul at World Championships

Lauren Parker Leads Bahrain Victorious 13’s Medal Haul at World Championships

The Bahrain Victorious 13 captured an impressive medal haul at the World Triathlon Championships in Wollongong, Australia this weekend.

Lauren Parker led the campaign, winning two medals including her fifth paratriathlon world title.

The paratriathlon races opened the elite competition on Saturday, where Parker once again proved untouchable. She led from the front, exiting the 750-metre swim first, hammering the 20-kilometre handbike leg with the day’s fastest split, and then powering through the 5-kilometre wheelchair run to cross the line 70 seconds clear of her nearest rival.

Unbeaten all year, Parker’s home victory carried extra meaning as she reclaimed the crown she relinquished last season.

“Everyone was so supportive out there and it definitely made me push a little bit harder,” Parker said post-race. “I wanted to get back on top again and I really worked hard for this one and I’m just happy to get it done.”

She also revealed her next sporting ambition: to qualify for the Winter Paralympic Games, with ongoing training in cross-country skiing and biathlon.

On Sunday, Parker added to her tally with a silver medal in the Para Mixed Relay World Championships, helping the Australian team to a podium finish.

In the men’s elite race, Vasco Vilaça placed fifth to secure the overall World Triathlon Championship Series bronze medal, returning to the world podium for the first time since earning silver at the one-day championship in Hamburg in 2020.

Emma Lombardi also delivered a standout performance, claiming bronze in the women’s race – her best finish of the season – and vaulting seven places to 11th overall in the Series standings. She swam into the pointy end on the 1.5-kilometre swim alongside compatriot Cassandre Beaugrand, then attacked on the 40-kilometre bike to lead onto the 10-kilometre run where she battled against the eventual winner and series champion Lisa Tertsch and a hard-charging Bianca Seregni to hold onto the final spot on the podium.

Beaugrand, who had stayed in the lead pack throughout the swim and bike, was forced to withdraw on the run to conclude her season ranked seventh overall.

The results in Wollongong wrap up the Bahrain Victorious 13’s short course season. The team now turns its attention to middle distance racing with the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Marbella, Spain and Ironman 70.3 Bahrain on the horizon, as well as the T100 Tour’s final two stops in Dubai and Qatar.
