David Plese is the only member of the team who resides full time in Bahrain and works directly with the local talent alongside His Highness Shaikh Nasser in training and competing.

In his first year on the team, David finally broke the bridesmaid’s curse and won his first Ironman title in Barcelona on his way towards qualifying for the Ironman World Championship for the second time. He has qualified as a professional for the last two Ironman World Championships and is once again targeting qualification this year.

A quiet reserved individual with ambitious goals, he is the perfect fit for a team with so many big personalities. One of the tallest athletes in the sport at the moment, David ensures Bahrain Endurance 13 racing is dominant and well represented in Bahrain and in the Gulf.
