Marten Van Riel closed out the season in style for Bahrain Victorious 13, claiming bronze at the T100 Triathlon Tour Grand Final in Doha, Qatar, while teammate Jelle Geens secured third overall in the series standings.

Bahrain Victorious 13 fielded a formidable lineup in Doha, with Van Riel and Geens joined in the men’s race by Vincent Luis, while Great Britain’s India Lee took the start in the women’s event.

Fresh off his victory at Ironman 70.3 Bahrain the previous weekend, Luis led the field out of the two-kilometre swim. Van Riel and Geens were close behind, exiting the water just nine seconds back in sixth and seventh respectively. Over the 80-kilometre bike leg, the Belgian duo steadily moved forward into fifth and sixth as Luis drifted back, leaving Van Riel best positioned to challenge for the podium. He delivered on the run, edging out Mika Noodt in a sprint to the line to secure third place.

Geens crossed the line seventh on the day, earning enough points to comfortably lock in third overall in the series standings. His result capped a consistent T100 campaign that included a win in Vancouver and silver medals in San Francisco, the French Riviera, and Spain.

Luis finished 13th in Doha and 16th overall in the final series rankings, marking the conclusion of his first full season racing the T100. In the women’s race, Lee produced her strongest swim of the season and rode solidly before fatigue took its toll on the run, finishing 16th.

This race brought the curtain down on another standout season for Bahrain Victorious 13. Across the year, the team secured six world championship gold medals, two silvers, and one bronze, alongside two successful major title defenses, reaffirming its position at the forefront of global endurance sport.
