Bahrain Victorious 13 and Mana Studios are proud to announce the exciting conclusion of the mini-documentary series Defence: Scorpions today with the release of episode 4: ‘Reckoning’.
With two mini-series running in parallel, Defence features the journey of the Bahrain Victorious 13 team: The 13 follows long-course triathlon, while Scorpions focused on the short-course triathlon campaigns this year. Both are aligned with the wider brand’s central purpose – to defend its place as the most successful triathlon team on the planet.
The four-part Defence: Scorpions mini-series chronicles the Bahrain Victorious Scorpions’ defence of the Super League Triathlon teams and individual world titles across the 2023 championship season. From London to Toulouse, Malibu to NEOM, the series follows the key members of the Bahrain Victorious team as they fight together to retain their place at the top of the rankings.
Featuring Olympic medallists Cassandre Beaugrand, Henri Schoeman and Hayden Wilde and team managers Michael Gilliam, Tim Ford and Chris McCormack, Defence: Scorpions delivers a behind-the-scenes account of the pressures and triumphs of an intense SLT season across three continents.
Episode 4: Reckoning delivers the thrilling conclusion of the months-long title chases as the series arrives in NEOM, Saudi Arabia, with nine athletes still in contention for the two world titles and the teams race wide open. Controversial decisions are paired with incredible individual efforts as Reckoning takes viewers closer to the sport than they have ever been.
While Reckoning provides the conclusion to the Scorpions series, the multi-part Defence: The 13 mini-series is also available to watch for free, following four-time world champion Jan Frodeno throughout his final year of racing, culminating in his “last dance” at the Ironman World Championship in Nice, France.
