Bahrain Endurance 13 announces rebrand to Bahrain Victorious 13, and become the first franchise owners in the Super League Triathlon teams.

The Bahrain Endurance 13 triathlon team today announces its rebranding to Bahrain Victorious 13. This brings the highly acclaimed and pioneering endurance concept into alignment with other sporting properties under the prestigious Victorious brand of His Highness Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser’s interest in sport grew from endurance horse racing into the creation of the Bahrain Endurance 13 in 2015. Envisioned to race for key world titles, push the limits of endurance, and promote a culture of health, wellness, and endurance sporting excellence across the Gulf region and beyond, eight years on it is the most successful endurance team in history.

The team has won 80% of all starts combined to take 27 world titles, two Olympic medals, and one Paralympic medal. A position on the team is one of the most sought-after accolades an athlete can achieve; its dominance has spawned a multitude of elite teams that have transformed and further professionalised the sport of triathlon.

The Bahrain Victorious 13 also set off the increase in participation sport events in the Kingdom, the growth of the triathlon federation, the offering of triathlon’s biggest prize purse in the Nasser Bin Hamad Triple Crown, the success of Bahraini triathletes at the Asian Games and even the selection of the first Arab professional cyclist to race the WorldTour.

Its tremendous success kickstarted His Highness’s further forays into investing in sport through the Bahrain Victorious brand’s involvement in cycling and football.

Not content resting on its laurels, to begin this new era Bahrain Victorious 13 have acquired the franchise for the Scorpions team in the Super League Triathlon championship series.

With the Bahrain Victorious Scorpions ranked second overall last season and boasting a line-up that included Bahrain Victorious 13 athletes Georgia Taylor-Brown, Cassandre Beaugrand and Vincent Luis, the team now looks to win the team series and men’s and women’s leaderboards this year.

Bahrain Victorious 13 and Mana Global CEO Chris McCormack will reprise his role as team manager of the Scorpions as the five-race series kicks off this September. He says, “Becoming the Bahrain Victorious 13 brings us in line with all His Highness Shaikh Nasser’s sporting properties. As the longest-standing team in his stable and the dominant force in triathlon, we have built a legacy of success and blazed the trail forward for Bahrain’s continuing and growing involvement in global sport. We look forward to continuing leading the charge by starting in the teams competition within Super League Triathlon and further showcasing the Bahrain Victorious 13 team’s versatility across all distances.”
