His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Captain of Bahrain Victorious 13, claimed first place at the Victorious Ultimate Endurance Challenge on April 16.

The event, which drew strong participation, comprised seven physical challenges spread across five progressive rounds, testing speed, strength, agility, endurance, and recovery in a format designed to identify the complete athlete.

Sheikh Nasser took an early lead and controlled the race from the front, his advantage building with each successive round as the cumulative demands of the course took their toll on the field. He completed the full course in 1:28:35, finishing nearly eight minutes ahead of second-placed Yousef Farhan, who clocked 1:36:25. Kenny Wallace secured third in 1:38:53, with Mohamed Al Ghais and Abdullah Salem rounding out the top five.

Victorious 13, now one of the most successful triathlon teams in the sport’s history, grew directly from his belief that endurance sport has a role to play in building healthier, more resilient communities. As a competitive athlete himself, he claimed the Ironman World Championship in the Executive Division in 2018.

Sheikh Nasser pointed to the role events like this create, both in demanding physical output and in building the mental qualities that competitive sport develops, particularly for youth.
